Giuseppe Ducrot was born in 1966 in Rome, where he currently resides and works.
After a period of painting and drawing he came into contact with sculpture, a medium of expression he was later to explore through a vast gamut of techniques spanning terracotta, glazed ceramics, marble and lost wax bronze casting. The classical art of imperial Rome, Hellenistic sculpture and the rapturous inventions of the Baroque provided inspirations for his work.
As part of a major renovation in 2015, the artist was commissioned to create the fireplace in the lobby of the Hotel Almhof Schneider.
