Erwin Wurm has gained worldwide acclaim for his paradoxical and absurd perspective on our current existence and, simultaneously, for the way his work expands the concept of sculpture.
Since the 1990s, he has been creating so-called 'One Minute Sculptures,' for which volunteers hold a pose for one minute that relates to everyday objects - the participant thereby becomes a sculpture themselves.
From 2012 to 2013, Erwin Wurm depicted European and American architectural projects in clay, subsequently subjecting them to his artistic actions. These sculptures are placed in dialogue with a series of legendary "One Minute Sculpture" photos within the common grounds.
