Not the documentation of public appearances and gestures, but rather his personal view of the people in front of his lens is the subject of his work.
Konrad Rufus Müller was born in 1940 in Berlin/Wilmersdorf. After studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, he taught himself photography as an artistic form of expression.
Since 2016, a selection of his portraits has been permanently accessible in the foyer of the Almhof Schneider. This selection was supplemented in 2019 with 24 new portraits, which are being shown for the first time. During the winter of 2019-20, the exhibition at the allmeinde commongrounds titled "Drawing with Light" showcased a cross-section of Müller's life's work: from the famous photographs of leading politicians, to still lifes, and cityscapes.
